OMG!! My mother is trying to f-in kill me, she has effectively robbed me of my attention for two hours now. she has these moments where every one has to stop and look at her, I try so hard to be compassionate but it is hard when her issue is attention seeking and neediness. Alot of times I think it is more helpfull to not pay attention to her when she is like that, but then she freaks out. It's always a no win situation.

I feel ya, Lynn. My Mother is the same way. The only difference is that she cries when I don't have the time to spend with her. She's become very child like over the years and it's tough to watch. She used to be so strong and now she can't turn a light on without my help. It's awful. I wish I had some advice but I've got nothing...

I know what that's like too! Now that I'm an adult my mom is all needy but when I was a teenager she found all kinds of ways to keep me away from her. All this being said, she's not all bad. I do love her, I just wish she could realize how much her co-dependant behavior hurts the people around her.

Can I ask you all something, why is it that all or most moms, when we say you don't understand, they go and say Yes We understand, its like no you really don't. Its like they think they know everything no matter how old or young you are, they think they know more then you do ect.....

I'm pretty sure my parents DO know more than me. If I had always just assumed that my daddy was right then It would have saved me a lot of trouble. I learned a lot of lessons the hard way disagreeing with him.
