When mine rejected, they just sort of fell out. My belly piercing fell out while I was getting dressed one day. And my eyebrow fell out while I was cleaning it. Didn't hurt at all, though, if that's something you're concerned about.
The industrial you gotta be careful with. It was the most painful piercing (hell, even hurt more than my tattoos) and it requires really meticulous cleaning. Since it's around a lot of hair that collects oils and such, it's easier to get infected. It looked hella cool though before I had to get it removed.

i have seen more people with fucked up cartilage piercings than healthy ones. there's about an 80% chance that when i see your cartilage piercing, it's going to have some kind of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. what makes me angrier is that i tell people how to get rid of it, they nod like they're listening, and then they don't do it. a year later, they wonder why the bump has eaten the jewelry, and they have to take the piercing out.

an industrial is basically any two piercings that are connected with a single long barbell. you can get an industrial piercing anywhere, but typically, somebody says that they've got one, they're talking about the top cartilage of their ear. like dat. although, hers kind of looks like ass, so don't think that's a great example.

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining that.
I doubt it's something I'd do but then I'm more of a tattoo girl anyway. I don't find most kind of piercings very attractive or appealing.

i've really downsized the piercings lately. sometimes i still think about getting rid of the one in my lip and just keeping my lobes, but my oral fixation is dependent upon the cbr in my mouth.

Yeah, that is the only reason why I haven't taken my lip piercing out yet. I'm gonna miss playing with it.

I had a lip piercing for like 6 months and I loved it, but I had to take it out for a new job. But I lost that one and I'm thinking about getting the other side done coz apparently it hurts more to do over a closed up hole and I'm a total wuss.

^ I had that done twice and it didn't hurt more at all. It's just more uncomfortable because they have to poke the needle through the existing hole and make sure it takes the same way. The only problem I had with it was that the first time I got it redone the guy was pretty bad at it so the hole got stretched and now seems bigger than necessary.

Ahh okay. Bear in mind I am a total wuss with a very low pain threshhold. Getting it done in the first place took alot of stress and drama.

Ha, yeah, me too. I was really nervous to get it redone but as I said, it didn't hurt at all. Just make sure they use ice spray or otherwise numb your lip and you're fine.

Yhuup, they put so much ice spray on my lip I couldn't feel it for like an hour. It worked tho. I only screamed a little bit.

Haha, they did that with me, too. I felt like an idiot when I was trying to drink.
