I can't say that I write stories by myself. I role play in chats and stuff though. Most the time lately I have been on a normal chat (not like imvu or second life) where you have to describe everything. I can be too detailed at times. >.< But nonetheless, I absolutely love creating something in my mind and putting it on paper, or in my case, online.

How do you guys get out of writers block? let your brain rest. pressure and stress are creativity killers. just take it easy and let it come to you naturally rather than trying to force it.

I actually just recently started to write a story. I'm basing it off of an old role play I was in. The female character is completely my own. The main male character is essentially mine, but he's based off other aspects of friends characters, and a member of my local AFI family. I forgot that I had started it before the show right after the Georgia show I went to. I stopped because of school, I picked it back up today and started to write. A friend in class had to take my writing book away so I could take notes. >.< Since we have a test next week that I need to prepare for.

Love to read some of yours guys work you can fine me on noodle.net, i'm writing a noodle right now, but love to read some of yours Boo you stories sounds like a good one, do you guys found it easy writing in male or girl I seem to write my stories around me, from my point of view using character from shows or making my own up but when I write for Harry potter noodle I love waiting my friends, into the mix its like our own world in a world, When I write I also learn what types of stories I like and how to use them into my own writing skills, my writing skills are really bad but over years and reading seem to help. <3

I seriously lack the ability to write. I'm jealous of those who can.

so i'm jumping into this conversation late but...i lost the link to the message board when i got my new laptop and just got it via email (thanks monica!). but i loved to write. i'm constantly writing. i have a whole series of characters that i write about all the time. for those of you who follow me on tumblr, i have a whole blog dedicated specifically to the characters i write about called "perustele". in case you're interested. when it comes to writers block, i like to put something asside and work on something else. i have a habit of working on multiple pieces simultaneously. so if one isn't working, i can put it away and open another. that's how i deal with stuff. i also agree that anyone can write whether they think they can or not.

keeping multiple projects going is a HUGE help to me as well. it keeps me from getting burned out on one thing.
i also find that listening to music, reading books or watching movies that are similar in nature to the projects i'm working on really stimulate my creativity. i'm trying to compile a list of inspirational albums and books right now so i can put myself in my happy dystopian universe at will.

Both of you guys ideas are awesome, I read while I write, I found that when I'm mostly Alone or Sad that's when my stories become my 2nd life , where I have friends etc... I write more about what and who I want to become in my stories im not the person I see myself as, I have a life with in my stories, The more I write as 3rd person looking though my view point as one person I don't know if that you guys understand what I'm saying but the more I notice how I write the more I see I'm writing about me, I use my own name and change my last name, but its me all and all.

I love to write poetry. I've had quite a few poems published in articles when I was living in Phoenix. I just believe that poetry is the ultimate way to express yourself. One reason I love reading lyrics.

I love to write too, for a long time I didn't let myself develop any of my ideas because I thought everything that came from my head was stupid, but the more I allow myself to open up and the less judgemental of myself I can be the better my wrting seems to get. I am actually trying poetry again after several years of not writing.

yeah, I understand. I was in a slump for a little bit to. The only thing that I'm still not getting used to is the negative reviews. Because my writing goes to a publicist, I get the reviews back. I actually just got a pretty bad review on my latest poem and it was not published in the article. :.(

aww that sucks! I admire your courage though, rejection is good for you, it makes you stronger. I just got a rejection letter for a big art exhibition that I was trying to get my work into and it was cool to get the actual letter because, weirdly enough it is something to be proud of, That piece of paper is evidence that I was living my life as an artist. I am going to keep it as some kind of trophy, because I feel like it deserves to be celebrated.
